| So the semi-finals are set. The last round was exciting. Spain from Group A and Brazil from Group B are on top of their game. Both played extremely well. I just have to say, after watching the US's last game, I was so happy, it has to be one of the greatest soccer comebacks. This is what happened: In Group B, Brazil was on top with 6 points(it's 3 points per win), Italy was 2nd with 3 points +1 goal difference, Egypt was 3rd with +0 goal difference, and the US was 4th with -5 goal difference. In order for the US to pass, one of the situations was that Italy would need to lose 3-0 to Brazil and the US had to beat Egypt 3-0. The Italy/Brazil game was played, and in the end, Brazil did beat Italy 3-0, keeping the US's hopes alive. Then the US played Egypt. In the end, the US beat Egypt 3-0 and qualified for the semifinals. It was a great comeback. Here are the match-ups for the semi-finals: 1. Spain vs USA 2. Brazil vs South Africa For the 2nd game, I expect Brazil to easily beat South Africa. Brazil is very strong right now and I don't see how South Africa will beat Brazil. The 1st game is a different story. Right now, in my opinion, Spain is the best in the world. They have a 35-game unbeaten streak(that included ties and wins), and a 15-game winning streak. But the US just came from an amazing comeback and there seems to be that feeling of team unity and pride in the US team. A lot of the time, the team morale improves the playing of the team. I don't think Spain will dominate the US like it dominated the past teams in its group, so it's going to be a close game. Spain will probably win by 1 goal only.

| I am very happy to say that I was wrong about my prediction with the US/Spain game. The US won 2-0. It was cool to see the US come together. But the player of the match can't be one single player. The whole US defense including the goalie were doing such great work to prevent Spain from scoring. Now the US will see who they will face in the final, either Brazil or South Africa.
