| Brett Favre is set to talk to the Vikings about possibly returning to the NFL. Honestly, he is a great player but the Vikings need to move on with a young QB and Favre needs to STAY retired. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl....adlines

| I don't think so. Yeah he should stop saying he's gonna retire and then come back. But if he still has the passion and the ability to play, then I say let him play. I mean, look at how many athletes that are/were well beyond the "normal" age to do their sports. Some examples are Cafu, Randy Couture, Chris Chelios, and now Brett Favre.

| Im sure Farve can still compete better than a lot of other starting quarterbacks in the NFL right now, but I think his time has come. Maybe cause I am a frustrated Jets fan and very disappointed at what happened down the stretch last year... But the Jets moved on with young QB's and have some great talent on their team. Same goes for the Vikings, but they need to move with a young QB with potential.

| Yeah, but again, you can make the argument that yeah you can wait for someone with potential, or you can sign Favre for hopeful immediate success.

| If the Vikings get Favre before it's all over, they'll be in the playoffs. I doubt he'll be able to even re-live his 07 glory and go to the conference championship game. Also, Brett isn't in the right condition to do that again with his tore up arm.

| yea it not happening, i do think Brett belongs in the Hall of fame, he is just too old and worn out to play another season. look at last year, he struggle late and got injured

| Of course Brett is going to the Hall of Fame. I hope his career is over and he doesnt attempt another comeback. He got off to a great start with the Jets last year, but in reality, it just hurt the Jets progress in some of their young players.
