| Yes you heard right. The favorites of the Western Conference to go to the NBA Finals were defeated in game 1, at home, against the Houston Rockets, in the 2nd round of the playoffs. The final score was 100-92. The Lakers had an extremely poor performance, while the Rockets put on a good show. Kobe was banged up, so he and the Lakers struggled a lot. Besides Kobe who made 14 out of 31 shots for 32 points, which what the 32 points indicate, was still poor shooting by Kobe. The Lakers started poorly. The good think is that the Lakers lost, but they played their worst game yet, while the Rockets played their best and still, the Lakers were not completely dominated. The bad thing, the Lakers are down 0-1 in the series. This loss comes as a wake-up call to the Lakers. This loss told the Lakers "Yes you are dominant, and could go on to the Finals and possibly win the Championship, but you cannot let down at any point." I think the Lakers will bounce back as they did against Utah.

| I am not all that surprised. Like I said in one of my posts in another thread. I think this round will be great in each series and we will see a lot of excitement.
