| With the Yankees now 37 games into the 2009 season they currently stand 3rd in the AL East with a 20-17 record. The Yanks have been up and down all season, showing a horrible side to them and then showing a team that can play great. They are sitting 5 games back of the AL East leading Tornto Blue Jays, who have just been on fire. With back to back wins at home against the Minnesota Twins in extra innings, can the Yanks continue winning and make the race for first even closer? There has been many injuries so far this year, but the young stars of New York have come to play and have filled in well. The pitching staff has been shaky some starts and great others, but when it comes down to it, what performance will the Yankee pitching staff give? Can the Yankees re-take first place and return to the playoffs after missing the 2008 playoffs?

| The Yankees have now set a new major league record with 18 straight error-less games. Some great defense and its very enjoyable to watch the great plays they have made! Yankees have a great team this year and my pick for AL MVP Mark Teixeira tore it up in May!

| Yankees got to be favorite again this year. Once A-Rod and Big Tex snap out of their cold streaks, watch out AL.

| Another dominating performance by Pettitte and he is off to the best start of his career. Could he possibly win 20 games this year? I think so and it will for sure help his case for the HOF.

| The yankees are playing great, especially with all the injuries they have had so far this season. Their young guys have stepped it up big!
